Betsi Cadwaladr health board boss orders 100-day plans.
Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board and Welsh Government publishes spot check report. Co-author Donna Ockenden along with an independent team of senior professionals carried out a series of 22 unannounced spot checks to review care and condition on older peoples mental health wards across Wales. The national reports findings can be found here.
The Medical Director at Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board says it needs to listen more to patients and local communities in order to improve its services.
Speaking to ITV Cymru Wales, Matthew Makin said the health board is facing a watershed moment after being put into special measures by the Welsh Government and accepts the recommendations of the Ockenden report in full.
